Blue and White Enamel Paddle Earrings

Handmade enamel earrings with sterling silver earwires.
Copper sheet cut into long paddle shapes has been enamelled with a mix of black powder and white and blue-green liquid enamels to create these unusual earrings. The liquid enamels move during firing and form lines in the surface revealing the black enamel underneath. This effect reminds me of ceramic glazes.
The backs of the earrings are also enamelled in a black shade.
I've etched the enamel surface on the front and back which gives an interesting stone-like texture to the enamel.
Teamed with handmade sterling silver earwires with silver bead decoration which has been oxidized to give the silver an antique patina.

Nice long length but comfy to wear.
