Etched Copper And Blue Enamel Earrings

A great combination...
Unusual handmade enamel and copper earrings featuring a layered design. The bottom layer consists of a marquise shaped piece of copper sheet that I've enamelled using a torch in a colourful mix of blue and green opaque enamels. This pretty denim blue shade is combined with another marquise shaped piece of copper that's etched with a flower and leaf design. The etched copper sits on top of the enamelled piece and has a stylised tree shape pierced out of the bottom section allowing the blue of the enamel to show through as the earrings are worn. 
Both pieces hang from handmade sterling silver earwires. The copper has been oxidized to an antique finish which highlights the lovely blue enamel shade and accentuates the etched design.
