Copper Hoop Earrings with Sterling Silver Coils

Handmade copper and silver hoops....
with a twist! These handmade mixed metal hoop earrings have post fittings and a lovely bark-like texture. Round 2.6mm {10g} copper wire was hammered to add the texture then formed into hoop shapes. Sterling siver wire was then wrapped around the hoops to create three coil and twist decorations before being soldered securely into place. The ends of the silver wire were filed and sanded smooth so no sharp ends or fear of the silver wire unravelling! A sterling silver post is soldered onto one end of the hoops and the other end is filed and sanded to a smooth rounded finish.

The hoops has been given an antique patina and polished to a rich shine which highlights the copper and silver colour contrast really well. Supplied with sterling silver scroll fasteners.
