Sterling Silver Metalwork Pendant with Pink Enamel

Enamel and textured sterling silver........
are combined in this one of a kind handmade metalwork pendant.
The enamel "cabochon" was created by doming a copper disc and torch enamelling a mix of pastel pink and raspberry opaque and transparent enamels onto the copper disc to produce a pretty speckled effect. The enamel cab was then set in a fine silver bezel.

The base of the pendant is formed from sterling silver sheet textured in a rolling mill with a modern abstract pattern which contrasts with the smooth base of the enamel cabochon. Three fine silver dots have been added at the side and the silver sheet trimmed to echo the shape of the dots. The back of the pendant has been given a satin finish. The pendant is finished with an 18 inch sterling silver chain.
The silver is oxidized to give it an antique patina which really highlights the pink colour of the enamel.
